A concession on admission to the museum’s exhibitions applies to:
- pupils of general education and vocational programmes from Lithuania, other EU member states and EEA countries
- students of higher education institutions from Lithuania, other EU member states and EEA countries
- people who have reached the state retirement age (up to 80 years old)
- victims of the occupations of 1939–1990 – political prisoners and deportees, former prisoners of ghettos, concentration camps and other forced camps
- defenders of Lithuania’s independence who suffered from the Soviet aggression of 11–13 January 1991 and afterwards
- participants in the resistance to the occupations of 1940–1990 – volunteer soldiers and freedom fighters
Concessions are granted only on presentation of a document confirming entitlement.
Admission to the museum’s exhibitions is free for:
- pre-school children (under 7)
- orphans and children deprived of parental care
- people with disabilities, pupils with special educational needs and the teaching assistants and other companions accompanying them (one companion per person)
- seniors aged 80 and over
- Family Card holders
- employees of Lithuanian museums
- members of the International Council of Museums (ICOM)
- individual humanities teachers of Lithuanian general education schools and vocational institutions, and individual lecturers of humanities faculties of higher education institutions
- members of the Lithuanian Writers’ Union
- members of the Lithuanian Journalists’ Union
- civil servants and contract employees of the Department of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture
- all visitors on the last Sunday of every month, on 16 February, 11 March and 6 July
- foreign nationals who have fled Ukraine because of the Russian Federation’s military actions there
- conscripts, volunteer soldiers, veterans of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, NATO soldiers and soldiers of the German brigade
- parents on their statutory parental days off, on working days, with their under-age children
